Tomorrow's War is out and about
The early release pdf version of Ambush Alley's Sci-Fi Rules have just been released :

You can get it now in the pdf format, or wait until next year for the all-singing, all-dancing Osprey version.
At US$20 packaged with a printer-friendly copy of Force-on-Force, I think this is a pretty good deal, as FoF retails for that much by itself.
Maybe a certain brother of mine might be interested in the PF FoF if I pick up the bundle.....

Eureka 15mm Sci-Fi German Stormtroopers
Eureka have just released new figures for their Sci-Fi German Stormtrooper range.
These look GREAT. I have some of the original infantry in the lead pile.... might need to pick up some more....

More Christmas Loot 2009
Okay, so here is the Flashpoint order that I purchased earlier in 2009 and that got put aside for Christmas. These are were old stock that I picked up from Drew at Dragonfire Games.
Australian Support Platoon and an Australian Rifle Platoon. The Rifle Platoon is in the newer Flashpoint packaging.
US LRRP Platoon
Main Force Viet Cong Rifle Platoon and Support Platoon
The Recoiless Rifle may find itself serving double duty between the VC and on a technical for my african militia.
Local Force Viet Cong Cell and Support Cell.
The round items in the Support Cell pack includes punjee markers and snipers emerging from tunnels.
And finally, Thomas' continuing efforts to get me to finish my Eldar army:

15mm Sahadeen from Rebel
Mike at Dropship Horizon has another great preview of upcoming figures from Rebel Minis.
Check them out!
These really look great and would be suitable for any post-apocalyptic scenarios you may want to play. They also would be great for gaming a certain desert planet inhabited by large worms....
Rebel are really turning out a lot of good work.
I think that a lot of my cash will be ending up in their pockets over the next few years!

Eureka Order Part 8 - Miscellaneous
Final segment on my latest Eureka order.
I picked up some items from the 6mm civilian Range.
First up the Bazaar
I got this to use as a size reference for terrain and I also figured it slotted in well with a few scenarios I had in mind.
Secondly I picked up the 20th Century Civilians
These might become hostages in a future game.
And as the last selection from the CIV range I picked up the 20th Century Guerillas
These were destined for AK47, and will probably be used to spruce up command stands.
Finally, just to mix it up a little, I also picked up another miniature from the GZG 6mm range (Dirtside). This time it's a PkZ VII Sturmkampfer infantry walker (apparently).

Back to 15mm!
I've made a fatal error in doing the vehicles for the 2nd 6mm army before the infantry.
One look at all of those fiddly infantry sitting in the box, and I lost the will to go on.
My problem is that I enjoy playing with infantry armies (tank battles have always left me rather cold), but I hate painting them. A tank is a lot easier to paint and have it end up looking like a tank.
So in order to save my sanity I'm doing some more 15mm work.
A friend is looking to do some 15mm scifi skirmish, and I remembered that I had an old Quick Reaction Force Israeli platoon bag that I'd put aside to paint up "scifi" at some stage.
So I've based up a section (more on that later - trying something new), and put together a Commando (they always look the business) and also a chinese Type 70 (also QRF) beacuse what's a scifi game without missiles going everywhere ala Robotech???
